WHO WE ARE
The South Omaha Business Improvement District leads efforts to keep the district clean and safe, enhance signage and infrastructure, support local businesses, and promote the area as a vibrant destination. The BID builds partnerships, coordinates marketing through the BID website, and works to strengthen resources that increase foot traffic and economic growth in South Omaha.
WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON
Our current projects focus on the everyday details that make South Omaha a great place to live, work, and visit, including:
Cenar en Restaurante

General maintenance, including planter repairs, weed control, and litter removal.

Landscaping & beautification of public spaces.

Water service for planters & streetscapes.

Additional street cleaning, including dedicated cleaning staff.

Street festivals, community events, fundraisers, and marketing that put South Omaha on the map.

Replacing older light posts and fixtures on side streets with the green, decorative posts that already line our main street, using city-allocated BID grant funds.
DISTRICT BOUNDARIES
The South Omaha Business Improvement District covers the area running from 26th & K east to 24th & K, then south and east to 23rd & S, west to 24th & S, and north to 24th & Q. From there, it continues west to 25th & Q, north to 25th & M, and follows just east of the frontage road back to 26th & L, ending at 26th & K.
The district includes all properties with frontage on the numbered streets within this area.
